Terms of Service

Effective October 21, 2026. Sattva Technologies LLC, Massachusetts.

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Sattva Technologies LLC, a Massachusetts company ("we", "us"), which makes and runs Samana. Samana is manufacturing and resource planning software at samana.tech and app.samana.tech, with its portals for teams, partners, customers and the floor. By making an account or using Samana, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use Samana for a company, you confirm you may agree for it. Apps that run on Samana (such as Farmmetric) and Sattva's contractor quote service have extra terms of their own.

Who can use Samana

Samana is for businesses and the people who work with them. You must be 18 or over.

Accounts and your company

• Your company's owner decides who is invited and at what level. Everyone outside the main app works in a portal and sees only their level's records.
• Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under it. We recommend two-step sign-in.
• Tell us right away at support@samana.tech if you think someone else has used your account.

Plans and payment

• Only people who sign in to Samana count toward a plan. People who work only in a portal (crews, subs, partners, customers) never count.
• Plans are paid in advance through Stripe, monthly or yearly, starting on the day you sign up, plus any sales tax. You see the price, and the date of your next charge, before you pay.
• 30-day money-back guarantee. If you cancel within 30 days of your first payment for a plan, monthly or yearly, we refund that payment in full. Cancel in Settings or write to support@samana.tech.
• Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of the month or year you paid for. After the first 30 days there are no refunds for part of a month or year.
• We give 30 days' notice before a price change on your plan.
• Companies with a free account from before October 21, 2026 keep it as it was. We may give a company a free or extended plan; when we do, we tell you its terms in writing.
• If a payment fails, we will tell you. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, the account is paused: you see a locked screen and nothing can be opened or changed until it is paid. Nothing is deleted while it is paused.

Your data

• Your company's records belong to your company.
• You let us store, copy, back up and process them only to run Samana for you, to keep it secure, and as the Privacy Policy describes, including the offers below.
• You are responsible for having the right to enter other people's details (crew, partners, your customers) and for telling them as your local law requires.
• You can download your records while your account is open and for 30 days after it closes. When a job or an account is deleted, we keep a copy of its Takeoff and Lean records for up to 3 years with the people taken out (names, emails, phone numbers, street addresses and photos), private and encrypted, used only to improve our estimates and only in totals that name no one.

Offers from Sattva Technologies

You agree that we may contact your company's owner or office to offer building services from Sattva Technologies, based on what we see in Samana, as the Privacy Policy describes. You can stop these offers at any time. Saying no never changes your account. Any work Sattva does for you is under its own written agreement, not these terms.

Shared jobs and portals

• When you invite someone to a portal, or share a job with another company (for example "Shared with GC"), they see what their level or that job allows.
• When you stop sharing, they stop seeing new changes from then on. What they were already sent (emails, files, quotes, their own notes) stays with them.

Estimates, not guarantees

Samana works out quantities, prices, hours, yields, schedules, drawings and money forecasts from what you enter. They are estimates and suggestions. You are responsible for checking them, for your own prices and contracts, and for the work itself. Samana is not legal, tax, accounting or engineering advice.

Sai, the assistant

Sai is built on AI and can be wrong. Check what it suggests before you rely on it. Don't give it more than it needs to answer.

Your rules, licenses and permits

You are responsible for following the laws, codes, permits and licenses that apply to your work, your crops and your records. Samana helps you keep records. It does not replace a government reporting system or file anything with an agency for you. Samana is not used to buy, sell or deliver any product.

Fair use

Do not:

• try to reach another company's records, or get around levels and sign-in;
• copy, resell or rent out Samana, or take its code apart;
• overload it, scrape it, or send it harmful code;
• use it for anything unlawful.

Changes to Samana, and downtime

We improve Samana all the time. We announce planned maintenance ahead of time and try it on a test copy first. We do not promise Samana will always be available or free of errors.

Ending

• You can stop using Samana and delete your account at any time, in Settings (Delete my account) or by email.
• We may suspend or close an account for breaking these terms, for unpaid bills, or when the law requires it. Unless it is urgent, we will tell you first.
• After an account closes, you have 30 days to download your records. Then we delete them, and backup copies are deleted on their own schedule.

No warranties

Samana is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows.

Limit on liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages. Our total liability for any claim is no more than the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of your records or your work, you will cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

Law and disputes

These terms follow Massachusetts law. Disputes go to the courts in Bristol County, Massachusetts. Either of us may use small claims court.

Changes to these terms

We will post any new version here with a new date. If a change is important, we will tell company owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Samana after that, the new terms apply.
